What is Reiki?
Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is a Japanese word representing
Universal Life Energy. Universal Life Energy is all around us. It
is the source of all life. Without it coursing through us we would
cease to exist. Dr. Mikao Usui reintroduced Reiki in Japan in
the1800’s, although it has been practiced for thousands of
years. The Usui System of Reiki Healing is an ancient healing art
that uses this life energy. Reiki, when activated and
applied for purposes of healing, addresses body, mind and spirit.
Because Reiki raises the vibrational rate of the Ki energy of the
body, it accelerates the body’s ability to heal physical
ailments and opens mind and spirit to the causes of disease and
pain, so one can take responsibility for ones’ own life and the
joys of balanced wellness. Although Reiki is a means of working
with energy that we cannot see, it requires no particular belief
system. Rei means “spirit/soul”. Esoterically it conveys
spiritual consciousness and awareness and the ability to work with
that greater wisdom. Ki means “energy” and originally connoted
a sense of air or breath, that which pervades and surrounds. Ki is
the life force of al things. We have found that Reiki is a
powerful tool for anyone seeking or already on a path of spiritual
awareness and awakening.
What is Seichim?
Seichim comes from the Egyptian
word “Sekhem”that means Power of Powers or “Power
Focused”. It originally came from Egypt where it was translated
and transcribed from hieroglyphs by the Buddhists of that time and
taken back to India and Japan. These hieroglyphs were discovered
and represented hands facing skywards with what appeared to be
Chakras in the palms. Seichim is ancient and sacred. Introduced to
us by Patrick Zeigler, who in the 1980’s meditated in the Great
Pyramids of Egypt and studied with the Sufis, received Reiki
attunements and the Seichim Transmission. Reiki and Seichim are an
advanced form of hands on healing where Reiki is the Great White
Light, Seichim is the Rainbow, both from the same place, but very
different in experience. Seichim is wild and creative. Reiki
Seichim is a holistic “Healing Hands” method of treatment for
self and others, including plants and animals. It requires no
special belief system or dogma to use. Rieki is easy to learn and
is traditionally transferred from teacher to student through
attunements. Attunements permanently awaken the healer within by
connecting your mind, body and spirit to the ancient Rieki healing
sounds and symbols.
What is an Attunement?
Reiki is not taught in the way
other healing techniques are taught. It is transferred to the
student by the Reiki Master Teacher during an attunement process.
This process opens the crown, heart, and palm Chakras and creates
a special link between the student and the Reiki source. The Reiki
attunement is a powerful spiritual experience. The attunement
energies are channeled into the student through the teacher. The
process is guided by the Rei or God-consciousness and makes
adjustments in the process depending on the needs of each student.
The attunement is also attended by Reiki guides - and other
spiritual essences to help implement the process. Once you have
received a Reiki attunement, you will have Reiki for the remainder
of your life. It does not wear off and you can never lose it.
While one attunement is all you need for each level to be attuned
to that level, additional attunements bring many benefits. The
benefits include refinement of the Reiki energy one is channeling,
increased strength of the energy, healing of personal problems,
clarity of mind, increased psychic sensitivity, and raised level
of consciousness.
How does Reiki work?
The life force energy flows through
the physical body through pathways called Chakras, Meridians,
Nadis, and also around us in a field of energy called the Aura.
Life force energy nourishes the organs and the cells of the body.
The life force energy is responsive to thoughts and feelings. When
negative thoughts and feelings come then attach themselves to the
energy field and cause disruption in the flow of life force
energy, thus diminishing the vital function of the organs and
cells. Reiki heals by flowing through the affected areas of the
energy field and charging them with positive energy. It raises the
vibratory level of the energy field in and around the body where
the negative thoughts and feelings are attached and causes the
negative energy to break apart and fall away. Reiki clears,
straightens and heals the energy pathways, thus allowing the life
force energy to flow in a healthy and natural way. Reiki can never
cause harm, energy can never be depleted, and has a long history
of aiding in healing virtually every known illness, disease and
injury when accompanied with intent. Clear and true intention is
everything.
